The business won a 4 month out of hours contract for a network infrastructure renewal project for the Partypods venue CosyJoes Newcastle. The project scope includes:

  • Internal Re-wire and deployment of a 16 port Cat5e Gigabit network
  • VoIP VLAN configuration with a cloud based BT pbx and Yealink handset deployment
  • Ubiquiti Unifi Wireless Access Point (WAP) deployment
  • BT Leased line procurement and integration into new infrastructure
  • Ubiquiti Unifi Router, Firewall and network switch deployment
  • Kyocera Network multi function printing and imaging solution
  • Windows 10 Workstation deployment
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) deployment
  • Technical Documentation

29th January 2022

Task Force 42 became "Tree Force 42" for the weekend. Heavy storms in the North East saw me come to the rescue of a young family whose back garden was damaged by falling trees, luckily nobody was injured and only minor damage occurred. I helped restore the families garden to its former glory.

17th January 2022

Today I reached an agreement to work with the global managed service provider Ricoh, and accepted a personal 6 month contract serving the financial services organisation Virgin Money. I am excited to be working with Ricoh and Virgin Money and will work with internal IT teams and 3rd parties as part of Virgin Money's "A Life More Virgin" initiative. The work is diverse and involves the following activity:

  • Windows 10 laptop refresh involving several thousand devices
  • Device maintenance and re-deployment of equipment to new/refurbished bank branches/stores
  • 1st and 2nd line technical support to on premise users
  • Device imaging
  • Assistance to working from home (WFH) users
  • Computer peripheral and component distribution throughout the UK

I will still service existing Task Force 42 clients through the business on an out of hours and weekend basis and will return full time to Task Force 42 sometime in July 2022.

2nd December 2021

Today the business was awarded a two month contract by Partypods Limited, an existing client in the leisure, entertainment and beverage industry who run the famous CosyJoes venue in Newcastle upon Tyne. The services will include:

  • On-Premise network infrastructure review
  • Cyber security review
  • Desktop and laptop device replacement
  • Enable e-commerce on the existing client website by adding integration for the chosen reservation & payment processing partner "DesignMyNight"

Task Force 42 is excited to be working with the Partypods management team and look forward to helping them reduce their IT operating costs, increasing their productivity & profit whilst delivering an improved customer experience.
